Appearance[]

Alice new

Alice is a tall, young woman with dark skin, a muscular build, and a large bust. She has short platinum blonde hair and amber eyes. She also has a tattoo on her upper left arm which reads "α1:C3" in red ink. Alice tends to wear a lot of form fitting clothes to accent her curvy, well built figure usually in shades of blue or white.

Her combat outfit is a custom made uniform consisting of a blue top with a white stripe running down the middle, white shorts, a blue three-quarters skirt that goes over the shorts, black elbow and knee pads, black fingerless gloves, black shoes, and black leg rigging to carry her ammo and gear pouches. The pouch on her left leg used to carry extra magazines for her weapon, the pouch on her right leg used to carry accessories for her weapon and a med kit. Her top and skirt is made of an advanced material that is a mix of high tech synthetic polymer materials that provides moderate protection from stabbing and slashing weapons while remaining flexible and breathable. The skirt portion is backed with a semi-rigid plate that provides a bit more protection for her gear from damage.

Alice continues to use her old combat uniforms as a semi-casual outfit for when she's running errands. The outfit is a white sleeveless spandex shirt, blue denim shorts that cover a third of her thighs, a short denim jacket, and black ankle cut combat boots. In combat Alice accents this outfit with black fingerless gloves, black knee pads, and white pouches on each leg.

After the fall of Beacon, Alice completely reworked her combat uniform, choosing to increase her overall defense and armor. Her new outfit consists of an Alice Blue high necked muscle shirt made of Tech Skin, a custom slate blue ballistic vest, and ballistic reinforced pants. The ballistic vest is made from two layers of tough synthetic materials surrounding a thick layer of ballistic cloth made of kevlar, carbon fiber, flexible polymers, and other synthetic materials . The vest is fitted for Alice, allowing for maximum comfort and movement even when fully closed. Alice's ballistic reinforced pants are made of two sections. The outer slate blue section is made of the same material as the outer layer of her vest to prevent stabbing, slashing, or other similar types of wounds; while the groin and inner thigh region are made of thinner more flexible materials meant to prevent binding. In addition to this Alice wears a belt rig to carry her weapon and gear, black combat boots, black knee pads, black fingerless gloves, an alice blue glove that comes up to her bicep on her left arm, and drop leg rigs to carry ammo and supplies. She also wears a pair of hard ballistic polymer forearm guards that work in a clam shell design. The guards are thick enough to stop several large caliber rifle rounds on their own, and are able to deflect rounds when augmented with Alice's aura. 

Personality[]

Alice is a bright and cheerful woman, often seeking out new people much to her boyfriend's displeasure. Although Alice enjoys being with people and makes friends easily, she's often at a loss as a mediator in a fight between people; clamming up and becoming quite introverted during fights. Alice can also be a bit naïve, seeing the best in people and often believing what people say. This has led her into trouble more than once but it has never been something she couldn't handle.

Alice spends a lot of her time with Darian, going so far as to insist on sharing the same bed with him; which has led to several rumors about the couple. When asked about their relationship Alice will only say that she and Darian have an "adult relationship" and ignore any other questions asked to her about their relationship after that point. Alice's favorite pass time is getting a massage from Darian, often ransoming favors to him for the massage. She also helps Darian with tutoring younger students when any are brave enough to approach her boyfriend for help.

Alice suffers from extreme Monophobia, meaning that she can't stand to be alone. When she is left alone Alice begins having panic attacks and will lash out violently in an attempt to get someone's attention. Alice also suffers from slight Claustrophobia (fear of small, enclosed spaces) and Noscomephobia (fear of hospitals), which when combined with her Monophobia will cause her to begin freaking out, desperately trying to escape whatever her current situation may be. Alice has gone so far in the past as to break her hands in an attempt to escape from confinement and to rip out IVs and monitoring devices after waking up alone in the hospital, causing more damage to herself.

Abilities[]

Alice is in perfect physical condition, having been training from a young age to fight. She has immense physical strength, even beyond that of Darian. Despite her size and heavy muscle tone though she's quite athletic moving around the battle field quickly and gracefully, resulting in her having a very powerful and well toned core.

Mentally Alice is quite intelligent but slow to process information, relying on her team mates to make snap decisions. However in every day life Alice's mental prowess often allows her to recall even the most minute details with ease, leading others to ask her for help with academic work.

Alice is extensively trained in hand to hand combat, using both her physique and her skill to overpower most enemies. Alice has great skill with ranged weapons, particularly fire arms, allowing her to engage enemies at mid to long range while her allies fight in close range.

Semblance:[]

Alice's semblance is called Passive Sight and enhances her aura's natural ability to sense when someone else is around her a hundred fold. Using Passive Sight Alice can sense where people, animals, and Grimm are around her in all directions within 50 meters. She can also focus the power in a single direction to sense where people are within 200 meters. While using the focused form of Passive Sight, Alice looses all other aura enhanced senses for the world around her. When using the focused form of Passive Sight her irises turn blue and glow brightly.

After the fall of Beacon Alice further developed her semblance to allow her to see the rough shape of the things she detects.

Smashing Crescendo[]

The Smashing Crescendo is a custom built Adaptive Combat Carbine: Enhanced (ACC:E). Smashing Crescendo is a multiform assault rifle type gun chambered in 300 Blackout with three forms; pistol, carbine, and rifle. In pistol form, the gun has a 5 inch barrel and hand guard and uses a flip up reflex sight that is integrated into the rifle as an optic. In carbine mode the barrel and hand guard extend out to 10 inches in length and can either use its integrated reflex sight or an attached optic. In rifle form the barrel of the weapon extends out to twenty inches long, though the hand guard stays at the carbine length. In rifle form the gun is often used with a long range optic but can be used with the integrated reflex sight. The ACC:E also has a telescoping, side folding stock that allows the weapon to be fired from a shouldered rifle position in any form as well as an angled fore-grip integrated into the hand guard that can fold out and deploy into a bipod for long range stability.

For hand to hand she opts to simply wear reinforced gloves with hardened knuckles to optimize her striking and grappling techniques.

Other Equipment[]

Alice keeps a compact six power scope, a silencer, and a flashlight, and a field med-kit in the pouch on her right leg and 3 magazines on her left leg. She uses various types of ammunition depending on the situation that arises including explosive dust rounds, armor piercing rounds, sub-sonic rounds (for optimization with a suppressor). She also carries a wireless ear bud head set that connects to her scroll, allowing her to communicate with the rest of her team while in the field through the scrolls.

Backstory[]

Alice was born Ellen Tenar to Marcus and Helena Tenar in the town of Normea in the kingdom of Vacuo. They did everything they could for her and provided her with a good life, her father raising her while her mother worked and provided for the family. Alice was a happy child enjoying the stories and legends her father would read to her and the harrowing (if exaggerated) stories her mother would provide for her about her job. Unfortunately her happy child hood was cut short.

When she was six a conflict starting in the abandoned military base next to Norema spilled out into the streets of the city from the tunnels. Helena was separated from Marcus and Ellen who were in their home at the time. Before long the Grimm were barreling through their neighborhood, and at their door. Marcus told Ellen to hide, picking up a large sledge hammer from his construction days to defend his daughter. He did well with his incredible strength for a short while but quickly began to be overrun. His final words were for his daughter to run away and get to safety. Ellen complied and ran from the house, originally heading towards the police station where her mother worked. Unfortunately the way was blocked by Grimm and Ellen ran away from the city.

Alone and scared, the young girl began to make her way to the nearest town, hoping to find help. Relief came when the young girl met a strangely dressed rabbit faunus on the road who offered the girl food and water. She graciously accepted and enjoyed the first food she had in two days, a small glimmer of hope beginning to grow in her heart. Unfortunately the spark of hope quickly turned to ash as she blacked out halfway through eating her meal.

When the girl awoke next she found that her head had been shaved, her clothes replaced with an itchy grey sweat suit, a collar placed around her neck, and a tattoo had been etched onto her left arm. As she continued to come to the girl realized she was in a large room surrounded by other children who were dressed the same as her, each with a tattoo on their arm. Before any of the children could do much more than sit up and look around several men in black uniforms burst into the room, each carrying a long tazer baton. Behind them was a man in a grey suit who declared that the children would become a new type of huntsman and huntress. If the children did as they were told and behaved they would become some of the greatest warriors remnant had ever seen. However, if they refused to cooperate the collars around the children's necks would be detonated and their lives ended.

Before long everything about her past life was trained, beaten, or otherwise pushed from the girls mind. In a matter of weeks she could barely remember her parent's names or faces, within a few months everything about who she was before hand was stripped from her and the rest of the children, and before half a year had passed none of the children could even remember their original names, going instead by the serial numbers engraved on their arms.

The compound that became her prison for the next six years was located in an abandoned Schnee dust mine in the deserts of Vacuo. The inhospitable desert was filled with Grimm, but that didn't deter her from attempting to escape. Alice tried to escape six times over the years. Each time she was captured she would be beaten, injected with a cocktail of drugs, and then thrown into a five by five isolation cell where she would be starved for a month before being let out. Each time Alice emerged from the dark cell she would leave a piece of herself there.

After six years of harsh training and indoctrination Alice and another girl were deemed ready for 'graduation' and were carted off into the desert. There the girls were sold a group of criminals involved in illegal smuggling between kingdoms. The criminals placed the girls in a cage to transport them back to their base. Two days after being sold, when the smugglers set up camp for the night Alice noticed something. There were significant gaps in their guard formation. This single insight gave the girl the first glimmer of hope she had in years. Over the next few nights she studied their movements and worked on disabling the explosive collar on her neck. By the fifth night Alice had managed to pick the lock on her collar and the other girl's using a thin piece of metal she had taken from a meal can she had gotten.While this didn't deactivate the collars, it did allow the girls to remove them from their necks. Waiting for a gap in the guard rotation the girls broke out of their cage and began running as fast and hard as they could, using the stars to guide them. The camp erupted into chaos as they ran, several of the smugglers shooting at them. The girls simply shrugged off the rounds, the bullets bouncing off of their aura-shields with minimal damage. Seeing that their efforts were having no effect, the head smuggler detonated the collars. The explosion from the collars detonated the truck that was transporting the cage the girls were in. This explosion began a chain throughout the caravan of vehicles, leaving the camp in a blazing wreckage. The smuggler's negative emotions drew all the Grimm in the area to them, allowing the girls to escape into the night with little incident.

As the two ran through the desert the winds picked up and before long they were caught in a dust storm. The two were separated in the storm and when it cleared Alice found herself on the outskirts of the town she had once lived in years before, Norema. By this point all memories of this town or her life as Ellen Tenar had been wiped from her mind. Seeking to get as far away from the hell she had lived in Alice snuck her way onto a shipping container that was headed out of the city.

Alice slept the entire journey, her body exhausted from the ordeal. When the ship made shore in the kingdom of Vale Alice snuck off of the ship and headed into the city, but was almost instantly dumbstruck. The large metropolis was unlike anything she had ever seen before. While she wondered around aimlessly Alice bumped into something else she had never seen before, a faunus named Darian Nightshade. As she introduced herself Alice wracked her brain to remember her name but all she could come up with was her serial number "Alpha-One-Charlie-Three".

As she explained her story to the young man she could see him becoming enraged. When she finished telling him her story he invited her to join a him in going to a combat academy, and although she didn't want to go back to any kind of combat camp Alice felt she could trust the faunus; so she agreed. So with a smile she adopted the name 'Alice' and followed the man.

After a few weeks of living with Alice, she and Darian applied to Forge Academy and after a rigorous application process, both were accepted into the academy. During their time at Forge the two became very close, eventually falling in love and becoming a couple. Both Darian and Alice excelled at the academy, scoring high in academic classes as well as combat classes from the events in their past. Three years later both she and Darian were accepted into Beacon Academy and were teamed up with a hare faunus named Kane and a flamingo faunus named Penelope.

During the beginning of their third year Alice and Darian went on a journey with the help of Merel Serac to find a woman who Merel believed may know something about Alice's past. After getting some information from Merel's adoptive father the group traveled into the wilds in search of a huntress who doubled as a pilot. After a slightly treacherous journey the group encountered none other than Helena Tenar. After some discussion and a blood test that was performed at Forge Academy Helena was confirmed to be Alice's mother. Since then the two have done their best to make up for the years they had lost.

After the battle of Beacon Team SPAD decided to forego any further training and become huntsmen and huntresses as they currently were, not wishing to simply stand aside as the world was falling apart. At this time Darian came to the conclusion that life was too short and proposed to Alice, having planned to do so when they had graduated and considered this as good of a graduation as any. Alice gladly accepted the proposal from her long time boyfriend and a short time later the pair were married in a small, private ceremony. Darian, Alice, and Penelope parted ways with Kane, choosing to begin working in a hunter group with Alice's mom Helena Tenar traveling with her in her ship as they moved from hot spot to hot spot to quell the surge of Grimm assaults.
