Appearance[]
Assecla resemble long, thin worms. They have a jet black body with white stripes around their bodies. A single red eye is on the head of the creature. Size wise, the specimens are 1 cm in diameter and range from 3 to 12 cm in length.
Abilities[]
Assecla can be described as parasitic Grimm. The infection has a tendency to make the host notably slower and sluggish when compared to a healthy specimen.
When an Assecla host is killed, the result is how this creature fights. As the host vaporizes into essence, Assecla worms numbering in the thousands will rush from the body and violently attack everything in sight. Often, they will target who or whatever killed the host, but if no targets are available, the Assecla will seek out other Grimm by entering through some sort of orifice. Bites have a poisonous and incapacitating effect so avoid close combat is highly recommended. The worm itself secretes Pheromones that trigger the amygdala which then causes the target's body to feel fear due to the release of corresponding hormones.
Because of the Assecla's small size and resulting agility, they are very difficult to hit with a melee weapon and have a tendency to scatter when one tries to use a firearm on them. Combined with their pheromonic assault, the Assecla makes for a very deadly foe if not dealt with immediately.
Weaknesses[]
Assecla are extremely weak. Many hunters advise using explosives or some sort of area-denial weapon (EG: A Flamethrower) to quickly kill them. With close attention, it is not difficult to spot which Grimm in infected with Assecla and deal with it accordingly.
