Azrael is a tall man who is usually wrapped up in a long, dark green cloak with a motif of intercecting curved lines on the back. He wears this because his job often involves sneaking into places, and dark green or dark blue are a lot harder to spot in the dark than actual black. The design on the back stands out, but he blatantly refuses to take it off, because it is, according to him, 'stylish'. He wears a skeleton mask, covering up his face.
Weapons and Abilities
Azrael carries Quoth and Mort, a scythe with a blade made of a dense material.
For stealth, he also has a hidden blade up each sleeve. He doesn't like using these, as he finds it unfair and boring. When engaging in combat, he can attach Mort to the top of Quoth in the stye of a war scythe. When he does this, he can fire Mort forward and use it like a flail. Another technique he uses is having Quoth in his left hand and using it for defense while he attacks with Mort in his right hand.
Born in a MGF orphanage, Azrael left the orphanage on his own when he was ten. He walked into the Vale countryside, munching on some food he had stolen from the orphanage when he left. He saw a man in a farm throw a broken scythe onto the road, and asked if he could have it. The man replied yes, and Azrael took it. As it turned dark, he headed back to the city and spent the night in an alleyway.
In the morning, he went to a goods store and paid them in some money he had taken from the orphanage to fix up the scythe. Taking it, he went back out into the countryside. He was strong and swift for his age, and was always phsyically active. He went back to the farm where he had gotten the scythe and worked there for 18 months, his main duty being the harvest of the crops, giving him lots of scythe practice. He eventually left the farm and went deeper into the wilderness, into territory inhabited by grimm. It was there that he witnessed the death of the previous Death of The Four Horsemen, and he took his scythe, Quoth and Mort. With it he slaughtered the four beowolves that had been fighting the Death before a rockslide had fallen on him, killing him.
After killing the Grimm, he was approached by a man who had been watching it all unfold, who introduced himself as Chaos. He offered Azrael a position in his group. He offered him training, money, and a home. Azrael accepted, and donned the title of Death of the Four Horsemen.
After six years of work with the organization, he left, taking Quoth and Mort with him. This has earned him the emnity of Chaos and the new Death, both of whom wish to reclaim the weapon.

- Professionaly, he is known only by his first name, as his surname is not widely known
- Azrael has 7 of the exact same cloak so that he never has to wear something else until laundry day
- Azrael's surname, Pendragon, was the surname of King Arthur in camelot mythology
- Azrael is the name of the Angel of Death
