Damn! Why would anyone release something like that?

Property of Aldrasos

Grimm Classification: Tamaskan (Breed of dog similar to a wolf)

Grimm Title: Dakuteki

Threat Ranking: Unknown

Appearance[]

The Dakuteki has only been seen once in living memory, and only then by a small group of people. It appears like a Beowolf standing further upright, with short fur-like hair covering it like a second black skin. It is tall, about 7 foot in height, with lean, muscular limbs. Parts of its body was protected by a white bone-like exoskeleton, especially on its head. A Dakuteki's head is constantly bent forward as if looking downwards for reasons unknown, so that the top of its head looks like some sort of mask with four jagged purple lines running down it like lightning bolts. Its eyes and jaw is rarely visible beneath its 'bone mask'.  If seen at a distance a Dakuteki may be confused with a human from the way it stands and moves, or like a Beowolf, as they have a similar body structure. Unlike other Grimm the Dakuteki are sometimes seen decorated with scraps of fabric.

Abilities[]

A Dakuteki is more powerful than other Grimm of a similar size in strength and speed, capable of destroying targets ranging from low-flying aircraft to advanced battle-mechs should an opportunity arise. The Dakuteki are not giant creatures of mass destruction, but can be considered the 'ringleaders' of most major attacks against the four kingdom's borders. They are some of the most ancient and intelligent creatures of Grimm, and after years of experience have learnt that going against their natural instincts can often lead to greater successes. Their age is easily recognized by other Grimm, allowing the Dakuteki to merge different packs of Grimm species together to form a larger horde capable of greater feats of destruction. They are somehow able to attract and lead fellow Grimm much like a general in a human army, using primitive yet devastatingly effective tactics against their human enemies. Their sharp talon-like claws may not be the best for penetrating armour, but are particularly effective at finding weak spots in armour and exploiting them for maximum damage. They are also thought to have superb memories and perception.

The Dakuteki are, however, extremely rare. The few surviving books which refer to the famed Dakuteki agree that it is likely only one Dakuteki outside every kingdom, meaning that only four of the creatures are thought to exist. Despite this small number, the fact that no confrontations with these creatures over the entire course of recordable history have been noted strengthens the belief that the Dakuteki dislike direct combat except when they are positive they can return safely and without taking damage. The Dakuteki also have a similar level of resistance to a Beowolf, meaning that while successfully landing a strike a Dakuteki is difficult, a wound is likely to do a particularly large amount of damage. Should a Dakuteki be captured, it will never eventually die even if it cannot escape or harm its captors, unlike with other Grimm as a part of their nature realizes their species' few numbers and that they must survive for as long as possible until they are eventually slain.

Additional Notes and Trivia[]

  • The name Dakuteki originates from the Japanese words 'Daku' - dark (referring to a shade of colour), and 'teki' - enemy.
