Fumi Cove is a large port town on the northern part of Menagerie. It was founded by Jun Fumi, following the Faunus War and thus was named after him and his family line. The Cove is ruled by the Fumi Family with its current leader being March Fumi.
Layout[]
Port[]
The docks of Fumi Cove are regularity visited by traveling merchants and other sea vessel coming and going from the Cove. As such, the port is fairly large and also acts as a market place for food or other goods. The port is also built close by a beach which acts as another way for ships to make their way to the island. The port also acts as a area for the Bluejay to unload cargo to give to needed citizens.
Beach[]
The beach of Fumi Cove houses several spots of relaxation and recreation. The beach is home to several palm trees and rock formation on the beach and out in the water. The beach also has small bits of ruins from the Great War as the beach was used as a coastal fortress against the forces of Mistral by Vale.
Main Hall[]
The Main Hall is the centralized gathering point of the town. It is a place usually kept in top shape and supports a working generator for the town suppling power as well as being able to hold several meetings between town rulers and the rulers of Menagerie. The local White Fang also use it as a place to house meetings much to March's hatred. The Main Hall also supports a working locker and bathroom within the lower levels of the facility.
Fumi Family Home[]
The Fumi Family has lived in the same house since the beginning of the town's existence. The house is built on small hill overlooking the town. The house is a large two story manner surrounded by vegetation. The house has an arc roadway in front that leads to gated entrances and a large wall between the two gates which also has a defense current in the front placed by March.
The house also supports a small chimney at the rear of the house. Several windows also paster the home from all sides.
Fort Jun[]
Named after the town's founder, Fort Jun is a multi-leveled fortress located on the far left side of the port that overlooks the town. The fort was established to defend the cove from Grimm or other invaders. The fort has numerous sniping points and also has heavy cannons at the top that can easily take down several naval ships.
History[]
Formation[]
The town was used as a fortress by Vale during the Great War in order to stop the forces of Mistral from landing on Sanus from the south. Following the war, the town became rotten and abandoned.
During the Faunus War, Jun Fumi used the town as a place to hide injured Faunus and also used it as a base of operations. From the town, Jun was able to launch campaigns against the humans and was an effective military general. Following the war, Jun made the town into a official city on Menagerie and agreed to work under the Chieftain of the continent. Jun thus became a governor and brought the town into prosperity and thus saved hundreds of lives.
Assault on Fumi Cove[]
During the reign of Jun's grandson, March, a human by the name of Shadow Ombre launched an attack on the town to end the Fumi line and to burn the town. March then hired a team of huntsmen to assist in defending the town. Abraham Scorch and Mason Ignis joined March at the beach while March's wife, April, Rouge Scorch and Evie Ember protected the inner city.
When Ombre attacked, his fleet and soldiers death with Fumi's troops while the three attacked Shadow. The first to get knocked out was Mason and then March. Abraham and Shadow dueled one another, with Abraham being pushed back into a corner and soon knocked out.
Shadow continued his march through the town and encountered Evie Ember defending the town house. Evie, always being someone to plan ahead, detonated the explosives she set up and crushed half of the troops. However, Shadow survived and easily overwhelmed her with sword swings and a tackle into a wall.
As the troops entered the main hall, Rouge defended April Fumi and her infant daughter from Ombre's troops. After the main hull of troops were finished off, Ombre stormed and talked Rouge into a pillar and punched her over and over again. He then stabbed her in her leg, rendering her unmovable. Afterwards, April attempt to fight off Ombre but was quickly outmatched and kidnapped her daughter.
Poverty[]
Twelve years after the battle, March and April realized the poverty and suffering that was happening within the town and thus turned to piracy to support their people. March and his wife then bought a ship and began their pirate careers. While under March's command, the ship became known as a feared pirating vessel and would regularly attack ships coming towards Menagerie, mostly for food and supplies. The ship was also known to a savior to Fumi Cove as it regularly stopped at the town to deliver stolen supplies.
The ship was also known to attack military installations, but these mainly belonged to Shadow Ombre. While in combat, The Bluejay was fierce and was easily able to hold its own against impossible odds such as attacking Ombre's forces or going against another pirate vessel.
During the pirate time, March and April reunited with their daughter May and her team of fellow huntsmen and huntresses.
Battle of Fumi Cove[]
After Fred ran away due to a panic attack, Ombre once again attacked the cove. May would get Fred to fight while March, April, Leia and Ember went to the beaches to defend the city from Ombre's forces. March had his quartermaster, Lune Wukong take The Bluejay out to fight against the incoming fleet. The ship was able to take on two of Ombre's ships and dealt major damage to each before they were destroyed by the heavy cannons.
Eventually, Lavender Kristal arrived on the shore and tough Leia and Ember. When Fred did come around, the two set out into the town and made quick work of the attacking army along with local troops. When the two reached the beach, May and Fred saw March dueling Shadow. Before Fred could intervene, May stopped him stating it was a Fumi fight. Fred agreed, and May charged in and went invisible and attacked Shadow. Both her and her father fought against the mad general and were joined by both April and Ember.
During the battle, Fred unwillingly and unknowingly unleashes the powers of the Guardian of Flame and was able to launch the general back to his flagship and destroyed half of his fleet while in his form. This gave the user hand to the Cove and the battle was won.
