Novalee Sirus is a fourth-year student attending Siren Academy, the fourth member of Team ALZN, and the cousin of Evelyn Scarborough. She is a minor character in The Coming Storm.
Appearance[]
Novalee is a somewhat tall young adult that quite a few boys would consider a hearthrob. She's slender, smoothly sculpted, and sometimes enchanting. Novalee's body is a fair shade of peach without so much as a few blemishes. ...Well, maybe one or two, but she covers them in makeup so people won't notice. Her ears are an odd shape, yes, but that comes from cosmetic surgery. Her hair is dirty blonde, naturally wavy, and parted down the middle, but she likes to keep it in swooping strands and over her right shoulder. Her eyes are a similar color, but a little more golden than her hair. She loves jewelry, specifically head circlets and rings, as her favorite piece is a circlet with an opal jewel at the forehead, a sakura flower at the right temple, and four draping strings of beads, two of which that to her earlobes. There's also a veil with a scalloped bottom edge attached to the back for added beauty, as she believes.
Her outfit isn't too far off from extravagant like her jewelry. Her basics consist of a long, ombre pink tunic that divides into several petal-shaped tails around her legs, and is patterned with vine-like swirls and flowers. It comes undone by the fold down the middle of her neck and chest, which then divides into two separate folds. Her kneesocks and sleeves are of the same design, including the socks' petal-esque shapes, which are done by curved V seams at the tops. Her shoes are gold ballet flats that mold to her ankles and calves as mock armor, etched at the edges with swirled lines. The armor Novalee wears consists of a simple chestplate and shoulder guards, all of which are gold and shaped somewhat like petals. Underneath her dress and sleeves for added modesty is pale purple fabric, tailored into one left sleeve and a pleated skirt, both of which are frilled in some way.

In all fairness, Novalee is the calmest ember of Team ALZN. She's not very outgoing, very diligent in her work, and will not pull away from her goals unless it is urgent. She's something of a big sister figure to her teammates, due to her protective nature and stern disciplinary measures. That aside, she can be endearing to her close friends and family, and takes pleasure in others' accomplishments and success. This potentially explains why she is considered the least selfish relative of the Scarborough family.

Novalee grew up pampered by all means. Being a part of the Sirus family, her parents Amelia and Lance had strong connections to wealthy companies and various other families, so acquiring a family fortune was no difficult task. Novalee had everything she could ever want or need, and was essentially treated like a precious porcelain doll vulnerable to anything that came her way. So, she didn't have too many friends growing up, just the neighbor kids who came from wealthy families themselves. She never had much to relate to them with, so their playdates were just spent mostly in silence. The only kid she could really relate to was her younger cousin Evelyn, someone thought to be just as precious as herself. The two spent hours playing together, dressing up, playing with dolls, putting on makeup, and all the usual girl things.

- The name Novalee is American and means "new meadow," referring to grassland usually filled with flowers.
- The first part of her name, Nova, also means "chasing butterflies" in Native American, which references her butterfly-esque attire and theme.
- Sirus, or its variant Cyrus, comes from the Greek word kyrios which means "master" or "lord." Novalee's full name can be translated as "master of new meadows."
- Novalee's team theme of RPG classes is reflected in that she represents the cleric, or in some cases the elven party member.
