The Snow Leopard Faunus who finds herself amongst a team, when all she ever has done is fought alone
Appearance-Physical[]
Although being very short in height, Rim can be vicious if she wants to be. She is a snow leopard Faunus, so the most outstanding feature of her Faunus heritage is he short and round snow leopard ears on the top of her head, along with the retractable fingernails which quickly become razor-like claws. But due to the shortness of her ears, not many would pick up she's a Faunus without close inspection. She has dark tanned skin and thick/dapping dark grey hair, which help to mask her face and ears. Her eyes a delicate pale green and often look tearful. As noted before, Rim is very short, but this comes with the advantage in that she is quick, almost silent and obscure to find in a crowd.
Attire[]
Coming from the frozen north, Rim adorns clothing suited for life in the harsh cold. She wears a thick white deer skin coat with dark grey fur trimmings, which is thickest in her hood, which is almost always up. The coat reaches down past her knees and is tied off at the waist by a rolled up fine leather belt. Around her neck is a series of three necklaces, each one crafted by her own hands and made out in variety of bone animals and colored beads. Under coat, Rim wears a pair of thick grey leggings, which are finely lined to keep in heat. She also wears a thin long sleeved t-shirt, which is a pale blue, underneath her long coat. On her feet she wears a pair of brown moccasin boots, which are suited best for the cold weather. Over the coat, he wears a crossed fine brown leather belt, which she uses to store the Atka on her back.
Personality[]
Rim was raised in a Faunus-only environment as a nomad in Northern Atlas. This makes her extremely shy and awkward toward those who are not Faunus born, not because she does not like them, but rather because she has never experienced human contact before. In her tribe, she was expected to work-alone in the frozen north of Atlas, which of course made her more comfortable on her own than in a group. Her thoughts are extremely private to Rim, mainly because her tribe prided men ahead of women, so there was little chance for her to speak out and be heard. However, being silenced for so long has been bottled up inside Rim and being pushed might finally release all that pent up anger.
Rim has had friends in her tribe and wen she eventually attended an academy, but none of these were exactly close. Rim not only seemed weird to them, but she was reluctant to make close ties so pushed people away. Rim has a beautiful singing voice, but once again this is kept to herself and only sings when she is certain no one else is around.
In battle, Rim is a silent mover and a quick striker. Although she has the endurance to keep up long and drawn-out battles, she would much prefer to strike twice and retreat to a vantage point. Mainly as was this was the way she was trained to hunt the Grimm, when protecting her tribe on the move. Furthermore, Rim is not afraid to use her claws and her own close combat ability to attack opponents, but this is mainly a last resort.
Weapon and Abilities[]
Weapon: The Atka - Rim's weapons are a combination of an ice pick and an SMG. The ice picks themselves are regular size, which Rim makes use of to climb and to fight. The blades are razor sharp and are jagged, which makes them lethal to even the largest opponents. The metal of handle of the Atka are a solid white metal, which does not seem to rust in snow or water, even after constant exposure. Around the handle of the Atka are several leather roped beads and charms, which Rim had crafted herself to decorate her weapons. The muzzle of the SMG is at the top of the ice pick, between the two blades. The trigger system is at the center of the shaft of the ice picks and cannot be retracted into the ice pick. At the base of the Atka is where the ammo is inserted. These clips are very slender and the bullets are extremely fine, but they are numerous. The SMG can activated at anytime, by sliding the slender pin from the base of the blade to the bottom of the pick, which slides a bullet into the chamber. The Atka are stored on Rim's back on crossed sheaths.
Abilities: Nine Lives - A very unique semblance which grants Rim the ability to create eight transparent versions of herself, each identical, each able to fight and each carrying whichever armament she is carrying. This can be used to distract or in attempt to overwhelm an opponent. However, with each clone that is destroyed, Rim will suffer three seconds of excruciating pain. Despite mental training to overcome this, it still hurts Rim greatly.
Back Story[]
Being raised in a nomadic and Faunus-only tribe in Northern Atlas, Rim had little connection to anything other than what was in her tribe or the region her people were in. Rim was raised by her very kind and heart-filled mother, but also by her abusive father, who ran the tribe. It was Rim's mother who taught everything she knows about animals, tracking, hunting, fighting and quintessentially how to survive. Her father was not one for close relationships and spent much time working away from his family as well as drinking, which would often lead to Rim's mother getting hurt. Rim's mother hid her from her father and kept telling her that 'drink made him a monster. He was a good man' Rim believed this for a long time, but was kept distanced from her father and many other men in the tribe.
When she was 11 years old, Rim witnessed her father strike her mother and clawed at his face in an attempt to protect her mother. Her father did not react at first, but he muttered something under his breath that only Rim's mother heard. It was the next day that Rim's father was found dead and her mother had disappeared into the wilderness, leaving her to be shunned by the tribe. Rim thus worked protecting the tribe alone, tracking Grimm and killing them with her self-crafted weapons, the Atka. Rim's only trusted ally was the mother superior, who saw talent in the young girl. It was her that revealed to Rim her semblance and taught her to use it sparingly. Rim remained very much silent in her tribe, never flaunting her ability in hunting down Grimm.
Aged 15, Rim saw her chance to leave her tribe and took it. After appealing to the better nature of the headmistress of a small academy in Atlas, she stayed there and trained to become a huntress. She didn't have much better luck with making friends at the academy, thus kept to herself for the most part of her time there. Aged 17, she trained to enter Beacon and was accepted.
