Rufus wears a white sleeveless yukata with calligraphy like red markings on a back and sides with no shirt under it and pants. Around his neck, he wears a very light gray scarf that is shredded at the edges (he edges are dark gray) of the scarf. He has bandages from his forearms to his wrists. He has black fingerless leather gloves with a few tears at the side of his palms. He wears a Japanese belt with a piece of written fabric dangling on each side, his belt buckle bears his emblem. His faunus trait is a white with a dark gray tip wolf tail. He bears 2 scars on each arm, a vertical scar on his right eye, and an 'X' shaped scar on his left cheek. He has blood red hair that starts from his head to a center of his shoulder blades and he keeps it in a ponytail. He has bright gold eyes. His complexion is tan as a baked bread's crust. His height is 6'3". When seen shirtless, he has broad shoulders, well sculpted 6 pack abs, and chiseled chest.
Personality[]
Rufus is known for being quiet, mature, kind, and gentle to those in need. For example, when Blake tells Rufus about that she was once a member of a White Fang and why she left, he felt sympathy, yet is interested to it and tells Blake how he left the White Fang. He prefers to be alone most of a time. He has a strong sense of justice and fights for doing what's right for his own kind and for what he believes in. He dislikes being treated like an outcast and people judging or bullying people that are his own race. He is also an open person and unafraid to speak up his feelings and thoughts towards certain occasions. He apparently gets easily offended, but instead of firing back, he turns his back and walks away. However, he tends to abuse the ones that are offending him when they gone too far. He can also be moody, antisocial and smart mouthed. He is also known to be very loyal, protective, and extremely courageous. He will do anything to save his friends and family, even if it means to give up his life. He seems to be very fond of books and art; because of this, he is wise beyond his years and artistic. He often gives advice to his friends and team if it is absolutely necessary, even his leader listens to his words of wisdom (they are partners).
History[]
Rufus was once a member of the White Fang when he was a child. He participated in almost every rebellion acts between faunus and humankind. One time, he was attacked by a human when Rufus was talking in a powerful voice that faunus were meant to be like humans, this leaves to have scars after the encounter of a human.However, when he was once assigned to steal the dust from the Schnee Dust Company, he resigned and left. He continued his life to search for his lost sister and looking foward to become a huntsman. When he first went into Beacon Academy he was searching for his sister everywhere, he cannot find her. Some people looked at him sternly and pompously rejected his questioning. Rufus was suddenly ran into by Lav Ender, but instead of an unwelcome greeting, she helped him up and introduced herself. Rufus and Lupita talked for a while about their achievements and if they could be a team sometime. During the initiation, Rufus ended up having Laz as his partner. Together they found a forest temple to choose their relic. Lav asks Rufus if they should choose the king of hearts card, he says it is okay with him if it is okay with her. After the initiation ended, team LVNR has been formed along with the other teams.
Weapon[]
His weapon is called Lunar Fang (Katana, Scythe, and Rifle) The Lunar Fang's normal form is a Katana. He can turn his weapon into a scythe by twisting a handle of a katana while the rifle can be turned when the handle is turned couner-clockwise. His weapon changes color only if the light energy that Rufus absorbed was inserted in his weapon. His ammo in its Rifle form is powdered dust with cartridge covering the dust.
Skills[]
He appears to be a very skilled swordsman, strategist, and fighter. He can train everytime he had break, even on weekends. When dueling with a sword, he seems to carefully plan his moves of his attacks. On his scythe, he tries not to swing it too hard when fighting. He tends to be very cautious about his weapon. He can read lips and can tell if a person is good or bad. His Faunus skills are very acute senses of smell and taste. He even has good night vision since he is a faunus.
Fighting Skills[]
His fighting skills seem to be incredible. Before he attacks, he studies his opponents carefully in order to look for a weak spot. He can think ahead a step or 2. His dodging speed was as fast as a speeding bullet, he only dodges if his opponent gets too close to him. He also tends to limit his strength on blows he makes with his weapon since he has to take his time to absorb as much energy as possible. On final blows, he releases a lot of energy, only leaving a few energy inside, to finish off his opponent. However, he loses about 56% of his battles mainly because of his injuries or his strategies that have been planned did not go so well.
Aura and Semblance[]
His semblance is Photosystem, it is also known as absorption of solar and lunar energy. He absorbs this in order to increase his aura use to make him either stronger or faster depending on a time of a day. He can also distribute some of it in his weapon in order for it to have a more powerful blow on every attack he made. His aura color is light red-violet.
