Team LEAV would have been originally team TEAL, a group composing of two pairs who have picked up the queen pieces, namely Tesion and Artagnan, Lear and Elley. However, when the group try to retreat back to the cliffs and were in turn ambushed by large Grimm, Tesion traitorously abandoned the other three to the creatures of Grimm, but Vulturn, who had been walking through the forest, stepped in and saved the three from the creatures. He brutally broke Tesion's legs and left the traitor to the maws of the Grimm, attributing his murder to the dangerous nature of the curriculum of Beacon Academy. Lear was thus designated as the leader, while Vulturn joined the group to form team LEAV.
