History[]

Born into a rich Faunus family, Theluji should have had a life of luxury. Her father was gone, but her mother was heiress to the Grand Malt liquor company based in Vacuo, until a year after Theluji was born.

When her grandfather died, the company board was mostly comprised of humans. Despite the protests of the rest of the board, they took the company, buying out her part of it.

Her mother's attempts at business were amateur at best, and her attempts to rival the company she should have inherited were met only with failure. By the time Theluji was four, her mother had squandered most of their money. Desperate and alone, her mother reached out to a friend of hers at the Schnee dust company. Her friend got her a position at the company, as "Supervisor" of a small mining operation halfway between Vacuo and Vale. Little Theluji was brought along for the ride.

At the site, conditions were poor for the Faunus workers, and Theluji's mother quickly became the most hated Faunus on the site. Hated by the humans simply for being who she was, and by the Faunus workers for working for the humans. The harsh reality of the situation was even worse because of the backlash that the kids had on Theluji. She was the most hated child in her race-segregated class, her only friend being a quiet, almost mute Seal boy named Flatuin Rouge. Persecution continued until she walked in on a White Fang meeting.

The White Fang, despite her being very young, accepted her as their own. She went from being the most hated kid to the most respected within a month. The White Fang became her family, and she became more belligerent, arguing with her mother more and more. When she realized that her mother wouldn't turn against the Schnee dust company, she ran away, staying with one of her friends in the White Fang instead, taking a map of the compound with her -something that the Schnee dust company forbade the Faunus from having. When her mother showed up in the White Fang hideout in a frenzy, she hid in a secret room hidden underneath the rickety building. She waited three weeks before going back to her mother, at the White Fang's request. She showed up to every meeting, usually with a tidbit about the security around the compound or where the weapon storage was.

living in the White Fang gave the young Theluji some respect. Her ruthlessness and tactical mind got her invited to sit on the White Fang's local council at the ripe old age of ten. She trained with the older miners, gaining muscle and strength.

When Theluji turned thirteen, the miners began protesting over the lousy conditions in the mine. Her mother tried to get the miners back to work, but stopped when she saw her own daughter on the picket lines.

At the age of fifteen, the Faunus revolted, but were crushed by the Schnee dust company's security. Among the Faunus killed in the revolt was Flatuin Rouge, her only friend before joining.

Grieving, she threw herself into her training, and managed to unlock her aura. She scavenged scrap metal and dust on her forays into the manufacturing unit with her mother. With them, and help from some of the former weapon smiths, she forged her own custom weapon, Winter's Wrath.

Peace was restored by the Schnee dust company, which brought in twice as many guards as last time. Her mother was promoted for her role in suppressing the riot, which in turn brought more hardship...and more opportunities. Theluji became an adept forging artist, imitating her mother's and other employee's signatures to divert small amounts of dust and materials to her brethren in the White Fang.

While fortunes were turning around for Theluji's mother, the miners were even more downtrodden than before. Between the ages of fifteen and nineteen, Theluji spent her time training, either with Schnee employees or with White Fang members, and socializing with the company's employees. She reported everything to the White Fang. Despite her best efforts, Her semblance did not materialize.

The miners eventually got back to the way things had been, but a simmering resentment was there, under the surface. Some of the guards were cruel to the Faunus workers, and tensions frequently ran high. Tensions that Theluji's mother had to keep in check.

It was at the age of 24, when she got a message from high up White Fang execs, that her world changed. The weapons she had been smuggling to her White Fang brothers were finally to be used.

Theluji fought alongside the miners as they rose up from the mines, weapons charged and ready. She laughed as the human oppressors fell to her blade and gun. The humans surrendered as more White Fang brothers came from the East, from Vale, to reinforce the miners.

After the battle, the humans were ousted, the few who remained were the higher ups. A few Faunus were appalled by the violence, but Theluji held her head high. This was her day. She had brought this about. A few Faunus were arrested, but Theluji wasn't worried. Her mother wasn't willing to stand up to the humans before, but that was to keep her job, right? Right?

Theluji's mother was put on trial in front of the White Fang. When the fighting had broken out, she'd tried to shore up the Schnee defenses, to no avail.

Theluji watched in shock as her mother tried to justify what she had done. She had helped the humans enslave their kind, and not turned on the oppressors even when salvation was in reach.

Theluji elbowed her way to the front of the crowd, and her brothers and sisters let her pass.

That day, as her mother wept at the sight of her daughter wearing the mask of the White Fang, Theluji swept up a blizzard, a blizzard that covered the area twenty feet around her in a blinding barrage of snow.

It still didn't keep the sight from echoing in her mind. Or the sight of what happened afterwards, when her mother tried to wrest a gun from a White Fang guard...only to be shot by her own kind.

Theluji spent the next week in mourning, staying in the mine, crying. Her friend Keros brought her food and drink, and let her recover.

Then she abruptly stood, one cold winter's morning, and stepped out into the frost. Strength filled her limbs, and she smiled as she looked at the full moon in the sky. Two White Fang Lieutenants, one with blazing red hair, came to her, asked her if she was ready. Ready to help the White Fang once more, this time as a leader. There always was a village down the trail, half Human, half Faunus. A good target, to be sure. A strike team, and she'd lead the vanguard.

Theluji laughed. And said yes. She took Keros as her guard, and took the village down.

(Yes, this is the village that Talis was living in).

Appearance[]

General[]

Theluji is a big but curvy woman, standing at 6'0 and weighing in at 220 lbs. She's muscular, with enough grip strength to crush a coconut. Her Faunus Heritage is unconcealed, as she has fur on every limb.

Clothing[]

She wears a fur coat that mimics her own, with no sleeves. Her bottom half is covered by a skirt exactly the same shade of white as her fur. This coat is embedded with dust, that she can use to throw out more snow, or to turn her snow into ice.

Face:[]

Her eyes are small, angular and red.

Personality[]

She has no patience for incompetence, or for slacking. She's quite bossy, but once the work is done, she's much more agreeable...to Faunus people. Due to her past, she has a very prominent bigotry towards humans, and finds Faunus that work alongside them perplexing and annoying. Faunus that fight alongside them, however, she has no problems torturing and killing, provided that helps the White Fang's objectives.

Weapons[]

Chione's Rage[]

A white, claw based weapon that fits over her hands and forearm. The claws are retractable, but are cruelly hooked, and extend to seven inches long. Crafted from a steel-dust alloy, the weapons (one on each hand), are extremely tough. The claws can be used to slash, or to grab onto an opponent and throw them. They have double barreled .50 magnums on the back, and they can be used to launch a curved claw to take down runaways.

Dust interaction[]

Chione's rage has a dust vial slot for dust usage. This allows Theluji to amp up her attacks. She mostly uses water or ice dust, to be used with her Semblance.

Chione's Laughter[]

A bladed knee and foot set of blades with concealed dust vials. typically used to attack unsuspecting foes.

Semblance: Blizzard's Beast[]

Active effect[]

Upon activation, Snow pours out of Theluji's body, covering the area with a thick coating. This costs aura, especially if she uses it to its' fullest. It has five stages, one through five. One through two barely cost any aura, but put out enough whirling winds to keep foes' visibility down. Typically, she'll use stage four or five to bring up a thick coating on the ground, then keep the blizzard blinding, but not too much so. Usually a stage 2 will do for most fights, especially indoors. Theluji can control this snow with hand motions, directing it at a single target or spreading it out for more effect.

Passive effect[]

The colder it is in a given area, the stronger Theluji gets. This is to a maximum of five times her normal strength at -40 degrees, which is already prodigious.

Limitations[]

Even though Theluji has an incredible reserve of Aura, her semblance can go through it pretty fast, especially in stage 5.

If she isn't burning through her aura, using a stage 1 or 2 blizzard, she can take a long time to build up to her maximum strength.

She tends to fare better indoors than outdoors, owing to the fact that there's less air to chill.

Weaknesses[]

Theluji is used to having an aura advantage over her foes, and tends to use her aura rather recklessly. In addition, she is rather easy to anger, at which point she tends to forget technique and simply rush an enemy from the snowstorm

Fire can and will counteract her semblance, and she gets slightly weaker if temperatures exceed 20 Degrees Celsius.

Theluji is smart and subtle, but if sufficiently angered is incapable of realizing when she's beaten. She's been known to fight on without Aura...and win.

Trivia[]

Theluji is Snow in Swahili, and Skadith is a reference to the Norse goddess Skadi, or Skaði, which is a reference to her color, white.

Chione is a reference to another goddess of snow, Khione, of Greek origin.

Theluji is the woman responsible for masterminding the attack on Talis's village, and her friend Keros actually fought Talis himself before running him out of town.
