Nox shook his head, and chuckled. He'd learned to care for his teammates, despite their...annoyances. Messer was a great problem solver, and had a good grasp of what to do. He knew each member's strengths and weaknesses, and could pair them to compensate. He also knew their personalities, and could stop conflicts fairly fast. A good team leader.Â
Crimal was always ready for a fight. If the oppertunity came up, he wouldn't turn it down. A bit impatient, and a bit too eager to be in the spotlight in Nox's opinion. He was a former mercenary, but small time. Only for a couple years. But, he was the one who stuck with Nox through the whole "JJCN" fiasco, so he was repaying the favor. Besides, Crimal had been cooped up for too long. Nox got into more combat than he did.Â
Jr, was the one Nox was the most wary of. Not very bright, overly emotional, prideful. Normally, the cold teen wouldn't associate with someone like that. But, the kid had potential, and his heart was in the right place. Plus, if one wanted a loud, obnoxious distraction, there was no better pick than the dude with the flame gauntlets. Though, he needed to begin using the brain cells he had left, and not go to his weapons for everything.
As for the mercenary himself, well. He was the cynic of the group. Colder, more calculating. Jaded to the extreme when dealing with unknown persons. He had no qualms about killing, and harming someone was just another tool in his arsenal. He easily fell into violence, and if you didn't get out of his way, he would move you. Permenantly. Not to say he's completely heartless or without some semblance of honor. He wouldn't kill children unless they didn't head his warnings, nor would he kill friends. The lone wolf who found a pack, and was determined to protect it.
"Alright. We'll leave by dusk. We don't have class for a couple days, and I'd like to be back by dinner tomorrow. So pack now, and we'll grab any essentials we don't have along the way." He growled when he heard the timer go off, and the teenager got up, went into the kitchen, and removed the brownies from the oven.
"And be warned. I know we've all killed. Well, most of us." He shot a glance at Jr. "But, we're not going to be able to handle things like we do day to day. Keep a low profile, and when push comes to shove, put them down with no chance of retaliation. Also, go nowhere alone. Especially you, Crimal. Disappearances of contestants is almost as much of a tradition as the fighting itself."
