Classification Two-Piece Rifle Broadsword(TPRB)
Weight: 20 kilograms(total weight)
Length: 1.50 meters long
Derivative Design: Gunblade, Dual Blades
Details: The Tonbokiri is designed for short ranged combat, with medium ranged support. Made up of two single edged longswords, it allows the wielder to attack at a much faster rate than if it was just one blade. However, when the situation calls for such, the two blades can be latched onto each other from their blunt edge, forming a double edged broadsword. With a broadsword, one is capable of dealing heavier strikes, abeit at a slower pace. What is more, the two swords each have half a barrel built into the blunt edge, thereby forming a rifle when combined, allowing mid-ranged combat. However, if one of the two longswords is taken from the user, they are unable to do much, besides the mundane attacks a single mundane sword may do.
-Tonbokiri can be translated to Slicing Dragonfly.
-Credits for the name goes to Kyoukai Senjou no Horizon, who in turn, credited to the real world Tonbogiri. Thanks for reminding me Calamity.
-The weight and size is -somewhat- realistically taken from real world weapons. I took the weight of the famous .50cal Barret(The M8A1 with the 29in barrel for those of you gun savvy). That's 30 pounds. Added two single edged blades, and several extra pounds for the "transformation" and/or the "interlocking" parts, and I ended up with 44 lbs total weight ^.^!
