Description: My heartbeat slows, but life around me speeds up. I feel blood exiting my body, my brain dying, but I am strangely happy. for I helped the ones I love. Sequel to Revenge.

Beep. Beep. Beep.
I hear voices and sounds echoing through the room, but the one thing I can hear clearly is the infernal beeping in my ears.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Sounds, muffled and echoed, play as background music to the beeping. I try to open my eyes, but my brain hurts with every movement and thought.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Light floods my eyelids, burning my eyes. Instinctively, I turn my head away from the light, but pain quickly replaces the light.
"Try not to move." a girl says. It sounds distant and almost monotonous.
Beep. Beep. Beep.
Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep beep.
"How's she doing?" another girl says, her voice filled with sadness. Like the other girl's her's is distant and quiet.
"Not good. She took quite a beating."
Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep beep.
"C'mon Yang!" the second girl says. I feel her hugging me in my bed. "You're going to be okay. You're going to be okay!"
I crack my eyes open. Pain pounds my brain and my vision blurs. After a few seconds, my vision clears, and I see a girl lying across my chest. She has messy, red hair and big eyes. Her skin is pale and she has bandages around her head. "Ruby?" I say, my voice hoarse. Pain crawls around my head: in my brain, in my throat.
Ruby looks into my eyes, tears streaming down her face. "Yang!" she says, throwing her arms around my head. I smile, and I notice the other girl standing at the foot of my bed. "What happened?"
Ruby gets off me, wincing as she moves. Blake smiles sympathetically as she helps Ruby to her feet. "You both lost almost a quarter of your blood. Before you died, Weiss froze you both with her Dust, and we brought you back here. You may have frostbite, and you have a concussion."
Pain briefly flashes on Ruby's face. "The doctor said we were technically dead. It was a miracle that Weiss could save us."
I attempt to talk, but choke on my saliva. I cough it out, spit flying out of my mouth onto the bed. "Where is Weiss?"
Beep beep. Beep beep. Beep beep.
Both Blake and Ruby look down at their shoes, depressed. "She..." Blake starts, turning to the bed across from me.
I slowly get up, wincing with the pain in every movement. I hobble up to the two, clutching Blake and Ruby's shoulders to regain my balance. As I look at the bed: a girl with long, white hair lays in the bed. Soot covers her face and hair. Her eyes are closed and her skin is ghostly pale. Blood stains her hands, and the scrubs that she wears. "Weiss?" I ask, moving to her side.
I put my hand on my chest, looking for a heartbeat. Her skin is cold and scabbed, and I find many scratches and bullet wounds.
But no heartbeat.
My tear falls from my eye and lands on her face. Soon, tears start raining down on her.
"She blasted the Grim back using more Dust." Blake says, pulling me back from the bed.
"That explains the soot." I mutter.
"A wall collapsed on her. Roman Torchwick shot her multiple times after she got out. Luckily he didn't hit any important organs. When we got back, a doctor said that she had blood poisoning, and she collapsed on the bed.
"That was three days ago, and she hasn't moved since. She breathes sometimes, very rarely, even less the longer she sleeps. Now, I fear she might be dead."
"I've been out for three days?" I ask, astonished that time moves so much faster when you're dead.
I collapse backwards onto my bed, my legs spazzing and shaking uncontrollably. "Just rest, Yang. You're very weak." Blake says. "You should rest too, Ruby."
Her words fade to nothingness as I fall asleep.

Ruby and I stand on a cliff overlooking nothing, the dark blue sky wrapping around the cliff. Snow covers the ground, and rose petals dust the small grey stone on the edge of the cliff.
Lightning strikes in the distance, thunder echoing in the silence around us. Wind blows, kicking snow into the air.
Marching below us is the Grim army. The sound of their walk booms around us. In the lead is Roman Torchwick and Crimson.
"We should go." Blake says behind us. I nod, not straying my gaze from the gravestone.
"C'mon." Ruby says, putting her hand on my shoulder.
I stick Weiss' sword, the Myrtenaster, in the snow pile beside the stone. Rose petals surround the sword as the wind picks up again.
As we walk away, none of us turn back. As we walk away, I know that Weiss is okay. Her spirit stays with us, even if she won't.
We jump off the cliff, and a chill shuffles up my back.
"Bye Weiss." I whisper, as we run off.
